Desperate to keep the Elves unified, Gil-galad forces Oropher to leave his young son to be trained and educated alongside Elrond hoping the two kinsmen can become the bridge between the Sindar and the Noldor. 2. Be Social

1. Set up a virtual party with friends: My teenager just got invited to have a virtual birthday sleepover with his friends. I thought this was funny, but they have the right attitude. Why don’t you have a virtual playdate or party with your friends? With facetime/skype/Zoom, it’s almost like they are in the same space as you. There is less clean up after the party which is a big plus.

2. Join the adult dance movement Livestream: Daybreaker is a live schedule dance community. You can purchase tickets to be part of Livestream for a morning dance party. Since it’s from your house, wake up the whole house to join the dance party for one admission price. What a deal!

4. Do chores everyday with others: I used to spend most of my free time doing house chores. Now that everyone is home, I have divided the chore among everyone. This is a great opportunity for them to manage things themselves if I get sick.

5. Text pictures of happier times: When we are isolated from others, we feel disconnected. I have a family group chat where we send pictures of what we are doing to feel more connected to them.

6. Have a Nerf gun fight night: Why not? It’s fun, and Nerf bullets are soft enough to play indoors.

7. Indoor snowball fights: Yes, you can have snowball fights with this plush foam snowballs. If you squeeze it, it makes snowball noise. It’s a great way to have outdoor activities indoors. If don't want to buy a plush snowball than use rolled up socks.

8. Play hide and seek inside the house: When my son was in elementary school, I would play hide and seek with the kids in the house. When the kids got older, we would do hide and seek in the dark. They got so creeped out but loved it enough that they asked me to play with them even past fourth grade. They used to call me “Mother of Chuckie’s” because I used scary voices to go find them in the dark.

9. Have an afternoon teatime: I thought this very cute, especially if you have a niece or a daughter. You can have a special teatime with your little girl. You could do this virtually if you cannot be there in person.

Learn the royal tea etiquette class with Prince Charles' former butler, Grant Harrold at his YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/user/grantharrold

Take an etiquette class at the Plaza Hotel NY. YouTube channel: We Tried The Plaza Hotel's $1,000 Royal Etiquette Class

10. Have a scavenger hunt: Who would not love to spend the day looking for treasures? My husband did this for our first Christmas present and to this day, it’s the best Christmas among the twenty years of marriage. Make it fun and silly. Have a prize even if it is only a bowl of ice cream.

11. Set cocktail hour on Friday: When you work from home, your days start to merge into one big week. Set aside a cocktail hour to mark the end of the week. 3. Entertainment

1. Binge watch your favorite show: I admit this is the first thing I did. Since I always wanted to see Outlanders and never had the time. Now I'm all about Jimmy and Claire and understand the fascination of their fans. Here are a few suggestions for binge watch list: Tiger King, Outlanders, Circle and Love is blind.

2. Start reading that book you bought or have in your possession:
I’m not a big reader but occasionally if a book catches my interest, I will buy it. I have a couple of them sitting around and now I’m reading them one by one. Ahh, all the characters I could become.

3. Day of science with stuff in the kitchen: On one playdate kids wanted to do something different, so I gathered together a baking soda, food coloring, and peroxide to make a volcano erupt. It was a lot of mess but was so worth it.

4. Dress up and put up a show: Let your kids dress up and put up a show. Let their creativity come to life. Use bedsheets to make a stage and create something magical. You can Facetime with families far away as audiences. It is great for tweens to keep them away from their devices for a short while. Need inspiration? Act out a favorite movie or book.
5. Video games with kids: One of my clients worried that her son was not interested in anything but video games. She did not know how to relate to him. I advised her to play with him. Play with your child and let him teach you, tell you about the storyline. This is a simple way to relate to your teens, but I would place a two-hour limit each time.

6. Go visit virtual museums. Watch opera at the Met, and Broadway shows: Most of the museums nowadays can be visited virtually. So, go search the world wide web and discover new places right from your couch. Feeling more adventurous? 4. Self Improvement

1. Exercise with a little help and motivation: It is hard to motivate yourself to move let alone exercise. But keep in mind that the summer is around the corner. You should take off those sweats at some point. So, if you are not a jogger like I am, do indoor push up on your kitchen counter or run up and down the stairs. Any form of movement is good. So check out YouTube, makeyourbodywork.com, MyFitnessPal.comhttps://www.strava.com/features

2. Day of beauty or spa day: There are lots of homemade beauty ingredients on the internet. Have a day of beauty or bath. Even use olive oil to deep condition your hair or simply polish each other’s nails. Marie Claire site for some ideas.

3. Learn a new Tik-Tok dance or any kind of new dance move: Learn a new Tik-Tok dance, but my teenager would not allow me to post it. He said it will ruin his cool image at school. Still, I could use it to blackmail him at a later time. Lol

4. Try a new recipe, learn to cook or teach your kids how to cook: I always wanted to make sure that my kids can take care of themselves in the world. Now that I’m not running around for the afterschool activities, I tried to teach my teen how to cook something simple as mac and cheese. It was not easy, but he was very proud that he was able to do it all on his own. If you want to try different recipes with the ingredient you already have, try LIVESTRONG.COM

5. Grow your beard or mustache: Why not? You can’t go out and this is the best time to experiment with facial hair. Check out the Art of Manliness to get started.

6. Karaoke Family Night: How fun it would be to get everyone together and have a karaoke night? You can even do this virtually with friends, too.

7. Learn a new skill like a new app, language or cooking: Since we can’t go out to that new restaurant, I learned to cook different ethnic food. One day I cooked Chinese food while the other day I cooked Indian. It keeps dining interesting rather than having the same old food every day. As you can find anything on the internet, it is a great time to learn a new skill. You can enroll in virtual classes right in your home.

8. Discover new podcast, music or videos: There are so many resources online for streaming music, podcast and videos. It is a great time to revisit old movies or discover new topics. With many types of topics to explore, you might not have enough days of quarantine to explore them all.

5. Organize
1. Scrapbook all the photo or put in an album: If you are like me, I have pictures everywhere. I just do not have time to put them in an album or scrapbook. But now I have the time to organize them and put them in the right albums.

2. Wash your car: Wash your car in your driveway on a nice sunny day, or if you know the next day will rain, soap up the car and let the rain do the washing.

3. Repaint your room or fix chipped paint: My dogs made a lot of scratches on our walls, so I just fixed it up and painted over. It was a small job, but it looks so fresh and new. Since I have left-over paint in the house, I decided it was about time I fixed minor things around the house. There are tons of resources on the internet.

4. Clean out your closet: You can clean like Marie Kondo from the Netflix’s show “Tidying Up with Marie Kondo”. Although she takes everything out of all the closets and cleans it all at once, you can take a couple of days to do this.

5. File your taxes: (Source: https://www.irs.gov)
The government officially extended the tax deadline from April 15, 2020, to July 15, 2020, without penalties and interest, regardless of the amount owed. But why don't you get started and work your taxes especially if you are expecting returns? If not wait until close to the deadline but still get all your paperwork in order.

6. Respond to the Census: (Source: https://2020census.gov/)
Since we are in quarantine anyway, why not take this time to fill out the census data online. By filling out the census, make sure your community gets the funding it needs.

6. Mental Health
Jason Stephenson

1. Naptime is not only for little kids: I take naps, thus I don’t need caffeine to make it through the day. I think napping keeps the mind sharp by reinforcing what you learn throughout the day. I only nap a maximum of 30 minutes, but it is the sweetest time of the day for me. If you have a hard time switching your mind off to relax, try listening to sleep meditation on YouTube channel. I personally like Jason Stephenson. Make sure you set a timer for 30 minutes. You don’t want to sleep too much that you can’t sleep at your regular bedtime.

2. Create a schedule for each day: This sounds like a lot of planning but set expectations of your day ahead so that you can focus and get things accomplished. If you don’t set schedules, the days will feel like they are merging into one big day of prison. Even if it is a simple thing like making a list of things to do, add one thing to reward yourself when you get most of the stuff done on the list.

3. Go build a fort or zone up your space: Build a space for everyone, an unspoken zone for each member of the house. This way, we could all have a place we could call our own. No matter where they are, plan to meet for meals. This gives us a chance to catch up on how we keep ourselves busy throughout the day. For little kids, why not encourage them to build a fort to make it their special zone. To see epic forts for inspiration, check out https://redtri.com

4. Go dress up: My office is next door to my bedroom, but I still get dressed for work. On the first day of the quarantine, my husband and I started to share my office. He, of course, started working in his most comfortable outfit, but I walked in all dressed up. He asked me why I was dressed up and I told him that if I don’t feel good, I can’t focus. He rolled his eyes. Lucky, he loves me even though I am ‘quirky’ as he puts it.5. Do Bujo: A bullet Journal (aka Bujo) is an organizational system created by Ryder Carrol who had A.D.D.  He had a hard time focusing and needed a quick way to keep track of his schedule. Unlike a traditional journal, with Bujo you can customize to reflect your personality. It is the easiest way for you to keep track of your daily life or business. I highly recommend my clients use Bujo because it's versatile from keeping track of your workload to your emotions. How to get set up and start your own: www.goodhousekeeping.com

6. Garden outside: Spring is here and it’s a perfect time to plant bulbs and seeds. According to The New York Times report, “hygiene hypothesis,” dirt contains millions of bacteria and viruses that help the development of a healthy immune system.

7. Work on your side hustle: Wanted to sell your craft on Etsy, write a book or start a new business? Now you have the time and get things done. Write a business plan, start doing crafts or organize your ideas for a book. Whatever it is that you wanted to try, now is the time.

8. Exercise can boost feel-good hormones: Exercise can help stimulate your brain Endorphins and other neurotransmitters. In other words, it releases "feel-good" brain chemicals.

So check out YouTube, makeyourbodywork.com, MyFitnessPal.com, https://www.strava.com/features or https://www.trainwithjoanofficial.com/contact

9. A whole new world to explore: Home of the live network where you can live stream anything. If you are feeling alone. This live stream will give you a new prospect for your problems. It can make a positive impact on the way you view the world. You can Livestream from NASA in space, bees, seals, birds, beaches and even northern lights. https://explore.org
